Technical Advisory Council
The technical brain trusts guiding the future of Simulation Operations.
What the Council Does
The SimOps Technical Advisory Council (TAC) brings together leading practitioners, researchers, and industry experts to provide independent technical leadership for the SimOps Foundation. Where the Governing Board sets strategic direction, the TAC ensures that SimOps stays scientifically rigorous, vendor-neutral, and aligned with the fast-moving world of HPC, AI, Cloud, Data, and Engineering Simulation.

Advances the SimOps Framework. Evolves SimOps to reflect new developments across HPC, AI, cloud, digital twins, workflow automation, and quantum computing.

Sets best practices. Publishes guidance on workflow automation, hybrid cloud, AI-enhanced simulation, security, cost, and sustainability.

Guides the software stack. Evaluates schedulers, orchestration, visualization, and cloud tools on technical merit, but never vendor affiliated.

Builds the workforce. Shapes training and certification so the next generation of engineers is ready for real-world simulation operations.

Who Serves on the TAC
Members are senior engineers, HPC and cloud architects, simulation and AI experts, distinguished researchers, and innovation leaders, typically with 15+ years of experience. They serve as independent experts, not as representatives of their employers or vendors, which is what keeps the council’s guidance credible and neutral.
